WARNING DIAGNOSTIC PURPOSES
DO NOT USE THE GENERATED FILES FOR DIAGNOSTIC PURPOSES.
The DICOM files you are going to generate are based on the template file you have selected. Each template file is based on the DICOM dump (see DICOM load plugin) of a “real world” DICOM file: it contains scanner related meta data that were correct for the original study. However, when you use the template to save arbitrary other image data, you create a DICOM file that pretends to originate from the chosen scanner but, of course, does not and the scanner related data and/or other meta data of the header will, in all likelihood, not be correct any more. See below for a list of keywords and how VINCI replaces them. As the DICOM files generated by VINCI are technically consistent and syntactically correct, there is a real danger that “fake” meta data is taken literally.
